Trauma may also present itself through physical sensations such as changes in appetite, fatigue, insomnia or nightmares, headaches, muscle aches and pains, digestive problems (e.g., nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), rapid heart rate, palpitations, chest pain, difficulty breathing, dizziness, confusion, difficulty concentrating, memory problems, muscle spasms, numbness or tingling, weakness, sweating, dry mouth, and hormonal imbalances.

Trauma symptoms may manifest immediately or develop over time. Some people may experience minimal trauma symptoms while others may experience many symptoms.
